A Fun Ride on Thomas the Tank Engine!
James meets Mr. Topham Hatt
James meets Mr. Topham Hatt
On Thomas the Tank Engine - Chloe is happy as a clam, James is a little anxious probably because it was so loud and crowded.
Choo! Choo!
We get under way....
What's all the sound about?
James suddenly hears the Toot! Toot! which is so familiar to him, and breaks out a huge grin!
Lots of fun as we drove along tracks for about 25 minutes.
Lots to see...
James loved looking out the window and at the tall trees.
Thomas the Tank Engine was wonderful!
A train conductor was available for photographs - and James was tickled pink.
The devious diesel engines were on a big poster.
James had to keep a close eye on them.
Off we then went to see some of the other celebrations.
A quick stop by the ice-cream truck.
A quick look at the bubble-truck. It was a sweltering day - so we tried to get inside as soon as possible.
And then James got to see the wonderful Steamies! Thomas - Percy - Rosie
Wish we had such a nice poster of the Steamies!
Ahhh... happiness!
Once we got inside the auditorium, it was a bit cooler. Spring and James popped into the shop, and James emerged with a toy train named Scruff.
Chloe and I sat for a little bit and had a snack - and then we all went for a drive to a nearby restaurant and sat and enjoyed a little lunch.
We drove past the Elgin Railway Museum and then 2 and a half hours got home and collapsed in a happy heap.
