James Gets A Haircut
James needed a haircut. So Daddy set him up in the kitchen with Thomas the Tank Engine, and a drink of milk.
He was pretty tired, after a day of playing, so didn't seem mind me cutting his hair. He was a very good customer.
He thought the bits of hair on his lap and shoulders were quite funny.
After a quick bath with his new shampoo, he was smiling and running around.
It'll be a while again until he needs another trim...

Playtime on the Weekend
On Sunday, James and his friend Marshall played at our house.
James and Marshall exchanged Christmas gifts - both got each other a super board game, and James lucked out and also got a zoomy white sports car (in his hand in this picture).
Chloe kept a careful eye on events, and chortled and giggled and gurgled and squawked away.
Marshall's Mum and Dad had a super time too. They brought pizza and it was amazing.
James was having a great weekend so far.
Marshall and James were both tired by the end of the afternoon, but seemed quite content.
Chloe was quite content, too.
James thought it was funny to act all floppy and fall to the ground. It was funny to watch floppy James.
Wearing his super new fleece-lined jeans, James flopped here and James flopped there.
Afterwards, Daddy took Monty out for a quick walk.
James went about his business, and drew with crayons.
James ate some crackers and cheese, and 'accidentally' dropped some on the floor, where Monty kept guard under the table (look carefully and you'll see some paws under there).
And here is Monty - waiting for cheese crumbs to fall his way.
Monty was tired out also from the day, and fell asleep shortly afterwards too.
Monty then made his way to his pillow, grabbed his doggy toy, chomped down and fell asleep after sucking quietly away on his fuzzy toy for a while.

James & Daddy Make an Orange Pool Noodle Caterpillar
While playing this morning, James and Daddy decided that they needed a caterpillar. So Daddy had a careful think. After a short while, Daddy had a clever idea and fetched a pool noodle from the basement storage area. Then using special tools, rope and James's helpful fixing skills, we put the caterpillar together.
After Daddy carefully cutt the pool noodle into sections, James threaded them all onto a piece of green rope.
He watched some Thomas the Tank Engine on the television as worked on the caterpillar.
Once Daddy had made and attached a caterpillar head from a tennis ball, James wandered off with the completed caterpillar to introduce it to his trains on his train-set table.
